Quick Recap on HeyMax Miles:

  • Originally launched as an MCC lookup tool, but it has since evolved into a full-fledged rewards platform.

  • Think of it as "Shopback", but for miles. Earn Max Miles via Shopping & Travel Bookings with over 500 merchants (Apple, iHerb, Marriott, Shopee, Singapore Airlines, Trip.com, and more).

  • Convert to 27 Airline & Hotel Loyalty Programs at a 1:1 Ratio, with no conversion fees.

  • Cannot be converted into Krisflyer or Cathay Pacific.

🛠 How to Get Started

1️⃣ Open a Account by downloading the Chocolate Finance App from Apple App Store/Google Playstore

Before you can get the Chocolate Visa Card, you’ll need to set up a Chocolate Finance account. Once done, you can instantly create a virtual card for online payments or add it to Apple Pay/Google Pay for mobile transactions.

🔹 Prefer a physical card? You can order one too.

🔹 As this is a debit card, you’ll need to fund your account before spending.

💰 Bonus: Chocolate Finance accounts earn up to 3.3% p.a. interest with no lock-in period and instant withdrawals of up to S$20,000 per day. (Subject to changes)

2️⃣ Link Your Card to Heymax

To start earning Max Miles, you must link your Chocolate Visa to a Heymax account

Once linked, Max Miles will be credited automatically after your transactions post (typically within 1–3 days). Note: You can only link one Chocolate Visa per Heymax account.

🤔 No Bills to Pay? Should You Still Use Chocolate?

Let’s say you don’t have bills, and your spending is mainly on everyday expenses. Would Chocolate Visa’s 2 Max Miles per S$1 still be worth it, compared to earning 4-6 mpd on other specialised cards?

Personally, I wouldn’t recommend it, but it could make sense if you’re open to exploring the airline and hotel programs available through HeyMax. These programs might offer better transfer options and potentially improved availability for rewards. However, keep in mind that to redeem points for premium rewards like business class flights, you’ll need a significant critical mass of miles. This means you’ll likely need to find other ways to accumulate HeyMax miles, as 2K miles/month may not be enough to reach those redemption thresholds.
