About Me: The Accidental Miles Guru
Just like most miles enthusiasts, what started as a casual hobby quickly spiraled into a all-consuming obsession. Miles have allowed me—and those around me—to enjoy some of the best business class experiences, thanks to a solid credit card strategy. The truth is, you don’t need to be wealthy to experience business class; you just need to invest a little time to learn how the game works.
It all started when people around me began asking, “Eh, how come you’re always flying business class?” When I explained that it was all about miles redemptions with minimal spending, the next question was inevitable: “I want that too—how do I start?” From there, the same questions kept rolling in: “How do I earn more miles?” “What’s the best card for dining?” and, “Why isn’t my cat earning miles?” (okay, maybe not, but you get the idea).
Tired of repeating myself, I did what any sane person would do: I created a Google Doc. It was my little treasure trove of miles wisdom, neatly organized and ready to share. But then I thought, why stop there? Why not unleash this knowledge into the wild and make it even more public? And just like that, this blog was born.
Now, I know what you’re thinking: “Another Singapore miles blog? Really?” Trust me, I had the same existential crisis. I mean, the internet is already flooded with miles blogs. What incremental value could I possibly add? But then it hit me—people love having another perspective, even if the information already exists out there. Sometimes, hearing the same thing from a different voice just clicks. So, here I am, adding my own flair, quirky insights, and occasional jokes to the miles game in Singapore.
So, whether you’re a miles newbie or a seasoned points collector, I’m here to make your miles journey a little more fun, a little less confusing, and hopefully, a lot more rewarding. Let’s turn those everyday spends into unforgettable adventures—one mile at a time!
P.S. If you ever meet me in person, please don’t ask me about cat miles. I still haven’t figured that one out. 🐱✈️
